File monitor
File monitor that allows you to see the contents of many files as they change.
Many partakers in the software development lifecycle observe an application's behaviour
across many test environments including development, system integration testing
(SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT) and production. A multitude of log files may
exist for these environments. As the software lifecycle churnes, there may be a
need to monitor the contents of log files. There may also be the need to be alerted
as soon as possible when a particular condition occurs. The condition may be identified
by matching the file contents with a search pattern.
This requirement may also extend to the contents of repositories that have to
be read via an application programming interface (API). Examples of these
repositories are Windows events, system registries and application databases.
